This post has been moved and incorporated into my story about Serge titled “Temple of the Heart’s Imagination”, on my history site Up from the Deep.
sounds like you have a really nice relationshiip with this serge…maybe i can meet him someday…like the herman hesse glass bead game references…had the audiobook out a while back – leary big on the book, named his castalia group after it…up from holllywood in ’57 after work there as an actor – would like to hear stories about that time…
Love that first photo with his hands partially covering his face. Wonderful story, too.
Thanks, Julie. I’d like to do a whole show about Serge sometime in the not-too-distant future, although I haven’t yet thought of a good venue for it. Any ideas about that?
Wow, what a glowing character Serge is! Altogether your shots make a strong portrait! I love unposed photos of people; they capture the essence of them. And what a role model: I hope I can be that alive-looking when I am old woman, wearing purple with a red hat.
